Welcome from the director
On behalf of the Molecular Biosciences Program, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to you as either a new or continuing graduate student at Montana State University. This is a very exciting time for MSU. Montana State University posted a record 98 million in research expenditures in 2005, putting MSU in the top 100 public research universities. In addition, we will begin a new direction with the hire of a vice provost to head the Division of Graduate Education beginning July 2006. With initiatives such as the MB Program, we hope opportunities for MSU graduate students will increase dramatically as well as the quality of your education. As the 21st Century unfolds, the challenges and opportunities for you will be immense. We hope you use every opportunity availed to you here to prepare for that journey.
We are committed to your success at Montana State University and I want to encourage you to contact me for any assistance or clarification you might need.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Cunningham
Director
